Third-party costs are additional charges from things such as car hire or flower arrangements. We do not add these costs on without letting you know about it first, so there are no hidden fees. Funeral plans make planning and paying for a funeral much easier. We have a range of plans and payment methods to fit any budget and with different instalment options, you can pay without needing to manually make the contributions. During a funeral planning consultation with us, we will discuss everything there is to your funeral plan. This includes music, service sheets, funeral charges and overall cost. When someone passes, you must make sure you register their death with the local registration office. Once this is registered, you will receive a certificate that authorises the burial or cremation and you need to pass this on to the Funeral Directors that the funeral plan is held with. For pre-paid funeral plans, you simply need to decide a date in which the funeral will take place. If there is no plan already made and paid for, you will need to start planning one, which we can help with.

If the person you are buying the funeral for is over the age of 50 then a loved one is able to purchase this on their behalf. Some people do not plan their funerals before they pass or would rather not plan it themselves, so get their family or friends to arrange this.

There are several ways to pay for a funeral with Albert E Hicks. There is the payment-in-full option for upfront payments until the day of the funeral. You can also choose the option of twelve monthly payments to spread out the costs or even monthly payments over a longer period if this suits more. After telling the family members and close friends of the person who has passed, you must then inform the local registration office. You will need to inform the registration office as soon as you can for a funeral date to be arranged and for the death to be correctly and legally registered. There is no set order of who you tell first but it is important to register the death as soon as you can.
